Croydon carer awarded in national photography competition

Local carer Loren Dixon was 'highly commended' in the 2017 Carers UK Creative Writing and Photography Competition this year.

Loren is a full time carer for her adult brother with autism. Her photo Open Hands is a collaborative piece between her and her brother.

Loren Dixon said, ‘[The photo] represents open hands, not only to care for others when they need help, but that are open to assistance.'

Loren was very happy that the competition judges could relate to the image. ‘I hope it brings pleasure to others,’ she said.

Carers UK's Creative Writing and Photography Competition is open to all carers and takes place every year.
