CURRENT VACANCY: Advice Worker (Part-Time)
We are looking for an experienced Advice Worker to join our friendly and dynamic team that provides a wide range of services for carers in Croydon.
The Carers Information Service is part of the John Whitgift Foundation and is jointly funded by Croydon Council to run the Carers Support Centre in central Croydon, the one-stop shop for all carers in the borough. A carer looks after a friend, partner, family member or neighbour who needs help due to illness, disability or old age.
The Carers Support Centre is a lively and busy venue that is open to the public, enabling carers to drop in for advice and information, meet in our Café and take part in health and wellbeing activities. The Centre is also a base for other charities and a meeting place for local support services.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and outgoing team player who has previous experience of advice work. About our service
The Carers Information Service provides free information, advice and support to unpaid carers who are looking after someone who needs help due to illness, disability or old age. We run the Carers Support Centre in central Croydon, a lively and welcoming one-stop shop for carers in the borough and offer a wide range of services including health and wellbeing activities, support groups, advice surgeries, publications and workshops. We are part of the Whitgift Foundation and supported by Croydon Council.
